Marie Demets is located in the Aube in southern Champagne which is renowned for its Pinot Noir.  Unusually, Champagnes are produced solely from grapes harvested from the House’s own 10 hectares of vineyards, of which 80% are planted to Pinot Noir and 20% to Chardonnay.  The majority of their vines benefit from a South-East exposition, with vines planted in 3 villages. No herbicides or pesticides are used, with a ‘lutte-raisonnee’ approach adopted in the vineyard.  The Brut is fermented in stainless steel and spends a minimum of 17months in bottle ‘sur lattes’ before being released.

This champagne has a beautiful pale yellow colour.  Floral aromas mix with notes of fresh white fruit, pear, apple and a few notes of angelica, blackcurrant, and redcurrant.  Delightfully youthful on th palate, despite its full-bodied character.  Pear and ripe white peach flavours are married with blood orange and grapefruit until the long finish.
