Domaine Denis Carré is tucked up in the hills of the Hautes Côtes de Beaune, off the beaten track in the village of Meloisey. Denis and his his wife Bernadette started the domaine from scratch in 1975 building the winery and buying vines with the help of a bank loan. The domaine is now run buy his children, Gaetane and Martial, who follow in their father's footsteps - growing grapes according to Lutte Rainsonnée. The vines are hand harvested, fermented with natural yeats and vinifed with minimum intervention.
